We’re encouraged here in the UK to have hopes and dreams, and this often starts from when we are very young. People like to ask young children, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” This question is often swiftly followed by, “Well concentrate and work hard at school and you’ll get there.” For many of the children we help to support, going to school is the dream.

It’s a dream for so many to just be given the opportunity to go to school, to sit and learn, to be able to read and write and to think for themselves. They’re desperate to complete homework assignments and read as many books as possible so they increase their knowledge and learn as much as they can. They’re excited about the social aspect of mixing with other children their own age and looking up to their teachers; they’re eager to have dreams and aspirations, they just want the opportunity to have hope.

You can provide hope. Where there is hope, there is a future.

It's great to have dreams and aspirations and for many of the children we work with to go to school is the biggest dream of all. Sponsor a child with Smile International for only £1 a day and help make a child’s dream become a reality.

Help someone receive an education today and make their dreams come true.
