Smile International was founded in March 2000 by my father, Clive, and my mother, Ruth and since the charity’s formation has seen dramatic growth, starting with helping the refugees who flooded into Macedonia in 1999 after the ethnic cleansing in Kosovo and we now work in Africa and Europe.

Smile International is a Christian family organisation, operating in Africa and Europe and we are passionate about helping to relieve suffering and poverty around the world through our Feeding, Educating, Empowering and Developing programmes.

We are dedicated to giving hope to those in need and providing people with an opportunity to develop emotionally, physically, socially and spiritually by turning tears into smiles. We help those in need regardless of ethnicity, nationality or religious belief.

Our aim for 2025 is to empower many more children and adults with life long skills to enable them to escape the cycle of poverty and you can help us to do so by joining one of our Sponsorship programmes.
